Avwatch offers comprehensive training courses to assist operators in better understanding what and how Mobile Ad hoc Networking and Video Down Links (VDL) fit into their mission areas. Courses range from classroom training to full scale field support with surrogate UAV platforms which are able to fully integrate into existing training events. Courses are taught by industry-leading experts with extensive knowledge of ISR operations and years of experience with emergency responses. Courses leave students empowered to configure their own custom networks to meet the specific requirements of the missions. 

Training is available at Avwatch Headquarters in Plymouth, MA in our state of the state-of-the-art classroom or available off site at a location convenient to students. All training courses come with the option of flight time with Aerial Full Motion Video provided by an Avwatch Aerial Platform.

MANET & Android Training Courses

Using a tactical Android program tethered to a MANET is proving to be the future of Situational Awareness for troops and first responders alike. Oil Spill Response MANET Training Course

Avwatch personnel have extensive experience responding to oil spills and have been supporting response efforts since the Event Horizion Oil Spill in 2010. The Oil Spill Response MANET Training Course takes the lessons that Avwatch learned during real responses and provides students with the capability to rapidly and effeciently respond to an oil spill. The course focuses on:

  • Real-time Aerial Full Motion Video

    • Electro-optical & Infrared

  • Long range RF networks spanning capable of spanning more than 20,000 sq. miles

  • Situational Awareness to Command Centers as well as vessel based responders

Wild Fire Response MANET Training Course

Supporting Wild Fire responses has occupied a great deal of Avwatch's time over the last few years. Whether it be outfitting and training the Granite Mountain Hotshots with the the latest MANET technology or providing FMV to Fire Technology & Development centers, Avwtach is at the forefront of using MANETs to more effeciently fight Wild Fires. The Wild Fire Response MANET Training Course utilizes Avwatch expertise obtained during real responses and provides students with the capability to rapidly and effeciently respond to an oil spill. The course focuses on:

  • Real-time Aerial Full Motion Video

    • Electro-optical & Infrared

  • Long range RF networks spanning capable of spanning more than 20,000 sq. miles

  • Aircraft or mountainous networks for relaying data

  • Situational Awareness to Command Centers as well as vehicle based units and dismount users

Close Air Support (CAS) Familiarization Course

Avwatch was founded as a surrogate UAV company that provides CAS training to troops about to be deployed.
