ATAK & TAK-C

ATAK (as well as its civilian version TAK-C) is an Android application with a variety of situational awareness tools useful to first responders and special ops groups. Created by the Air Force Research Lab in Rome, NY, ATAK is designed to work with an existing network or individual radios, enabling sharing/presentation of voice, text chat, video, pictures, and an interactive, layered, shared, moving map. ATAK provides the end user with up-to-the second understanding of what’s going on around them.
