Avwatch operates and manages the Massachusetts Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Test Center headquartered at Joint Base Cape Cod (JBCC) with other testing locations across the state, in a partnership with MassDevelopment, the economic development and finance agency for Massachusetts.
The Massachusetts UAS Test Center offers opportunities for existing organizations in the UAS industry to expand current UAS operations, as well as promote the development of new business opportunities in control systems and payload and sensor development.
The Massachusetts UAS Test Center is an extension of the New York UAS Test Site, one of six test sites across the United States selected by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The research that is accomplished at the six test sites will assist the FAA in developing federal rules and regulations for unmanned aircraft systems flying in the National Airspace System (NAS).
Avwatch assures FAA regulatory compliance and delivers operational support for customers during their stay at the Massachusetts UAS Test Center. Avwatch offers advanced operational expertise in the safe deployment of UAS technologies, including experience with Joint Environments, which involves flying manned and unmanned aircraft safely in the same area.
A Services Catalog for the Massachusetts UAS Test Center is available upon request.
